Anonymous asked:

how do you practice art skills??

kaiharuh answered:

repeat and fail until you succeed (:

Seriously there really isn’t any other way you need to repeat the process over and over until you get a good grasp on pretty much everything like  color, values, contrast, anatomy, perspective, foreshortening, movement and a lot of other stuff(although this also depends on what you are aiming for your art work)
I’m here to tell you truth it’s a fun path to go through but it is also frustrating and it can get really rough, but if you practice and work your effort will start to show in your work, it takes time, a lot of studying, observation, patience and determination, now mind you that improvement is NOT  a linear thing, you’ll get into art blocks, you’ll want to give up, that is a normal feeling and all artists go through that if you ever feel like that i suggest you watch these amazing videos by sycra http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qb0g_gWrNf8 and by sinix  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TWkcUxd5elU
Use references (here’s a good one for poses and anatomy http://www.posemaniacs.com/) the internet has literally all of these things at your disposition draw from life, photos and imagination
here’s one really helpful website: http://ctrlpaint.com/

anyway I hope this was helpful! and i wish you lots of luck ( ◜◒◝ )

I will also leave this here because it might interest to some of you

I will also post more art soon! I’ve been on a small hiatus doe to exams and i plan on starting 2014 on a good artistic way haha
